It’s About Time! Scott’s Late But Definitive Best Films of 2015!

So…. This thing just gets posted later and later every year, doesn’t it?

As I’ve mentioned in years past, my Best of 2015 list is often delayed because as someone who does not attend regular press screenings, I usually have not seen a lot of major players from the year by the time December 31st rolls around. Hence, it usually takes me an extra month or so to catch up on what other, more prepared critics have organized a while back.

But wait, this is a little more than a month late. And you’re right, Hypothetical Devil’s Advocate, but I also tend to procrastinate a bit. Very unprofessional and totally on me.

Fortunately, the time has finally come when I can put 2015 behind me and reveal the year’s fifteen best films. But first, here are a few films that while quite good, just barely missed making the list.

CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA (2015). Director: Olivier Assayas. Cinematographer: Yorick Le Saux.

HONORABLE MENTION (in alphabetical order):

American Ultra, Call Me Lucky, Clouds of Sils Maria, Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, The Hateful Eight, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Mr. Holmes, Slow West, Spotlight, Trumbo, The Water Diviner, What We Do in the Shadows

And now, onto the 15 Best Films of 2015!
